Nordic Swan Ecolabel office and hobby supplies include e.g., writing instruments, hobby paints (e.g., finger paints), office and hobby glue, tape, erasers and rulers.
Nordic Swan Ecolabel office and hobby supplies have a reduced environmental and climate impact throughout their lifecycle – and strict requirements for recycled materials, chemicals and quality, which promotes circular economy.
The requirements include:
- Environmental and health properties of substances used in chemical products such as paint, glue and ink. E.g. substances classified to cause cancer, damage genes or damage reproductive ability are not allowed, as well as heavy metals, perfumes, phthalates and bisphenols.
- Use of a high proportion of recycled or renewable materials.
- Limits for use of metal parts.
- Use of wood that is legally harvested and traceable – and at least 70% is sourced from certified forestry.
- The packaging have a high proportion of recycled or renewable materials.
- Quality tests.

*** The renewal fee only applies if the application has been signed and submitted before end of the validity of the licence. Else the normal application fee will apply.
**** Administrative tasks that takes less than 1 hour will not be invoiced.
All fees are exclusive of VAT. All information related to fees is subject to a disclaimer for errors and omissions.
The recipient is liable for the VAT according to article 56 of the Council Directive 2006/112/EC.
