Prices
The product group covers a wide range of product types such as barbeque charcoal, briquettes, firelighters, firewood, pellets and wood briquettes. Disposable barbecues cannot be certified.
Nordic Swan ecolabelled solid fuels and firelighting products have a reduced environmental and climate impact throughout their lifecycle.
The requirements include:
- Use of renewable and responsibly sourced materials.
- Limits on energy consumption in production, including strict requirements for the use of fossil energy.
- Compliance with relevant quality tests, eg. combustion properties.

- Barbeque charcoal and Barbeque briquettes & fire lighting products
- Wood briquettes & firewood
A separate fee is paid for each commodity group according to the list above.

** Where audits require more than one day away from the office including travelling, Nordic Ecolabelling can invoice an additional fee of 1,115 € per extra day. Other extraordinary costs induced by the audit can also be invoiced the applicant.
*** The renewal fee only applies if the application has been signed and submitted before end of the validity of the licence. Else the normal application fee will apply.
**** Administrative tasks that takes less than 1 hour will not be invoiced.

The recipient is liable for the VAT according to article 56 of the Council Directive 2006/112/EC
